i would like to tell this story without having to be in it

 Hey there! We are a traumagenic system with 4 members currently, but that's subject to change. I'll sometimes refer to us with plural pronouns (we/ours), but most of the time I won't, due to the effects of long-term masking/varying awareness over the years and also because it just never really felt fully safe, whether on the web or not. However, it would be a shame to not actually express these parts of ourselves at all, so here this is!

 The nature of our system is somewhat complicated, but we've found that it's easier to understand these parts as "paths" rather than static beings (or perhaps subsystems depending on how you look at them), as they've taken many shapes.
